I am currently trying to plan my daughter’s second birthday. This is an exciting time for me. I am in conflict about how I should include my boyfriend in this event. My situation is much different from others. My boyfriend is still 800 miles away in Atlanta. This makes it difficult to include him in these other aspects of my life.
If he were not that far away, I do believe that it is important to include the person that you are dating in other parts of your life. I am still asking my boyfriend for his opinion of what I should do for my daughter’s birthday. If he were here, I would invite him and his son to the event. I believe that to truly date someone and build a relationship with them, you need to include them in your life.

The wrath of Ralph Nader has struck again. Only this time, the legendary consumer activist isn’t taking aim at the airline industry. Nor at the automotive industry. Nor even at nuclear power plants.
This time, Ralph’s gunning for Rush Limbaugh. Five days ago, the perennial presidential candidate fired off a letter to the syndicated talk-radio host – whose weekly audience exceeds 20 million Americans, tuning in on 600 stations. Ralph’s gripe? That the ultra-conservative Rush, who frequently rails against welfare recipients, is “a huge welfare king himself.” How so? By using the public airwaves to earn his $38 million annual salary.
Instead, Ralph wants Rush to pay for that signal. He tells host Brett Cohen that Rush’s salary is “unbelievable – for being basically a humorous ignoramus.” Then he rips further into Rush:
“He wants it both ways: to be seen as a political power who can block things and scare the wits out of Congress…And when he’s accused of false statements or erroneous statements about global warming, or about a particular politician, “I’m just an entertainer,” he’d say. At the same time, he’s freeloading on the public airwaves. So rather than wait for Congress or the FCC to start charging for the public airwaves, [I suggest] that he and his company do it voluntarily… It’s about time for the super-rich capitalist Rush Limbaugh from Missouri to get himself off big-time welfare.”

Howard Stern has done an about-face in his feud with former underling John Melendez – or has he? While interviewing John April 6 on Mr. Media, host Bob Andelman asked John – who left Howard’s then-terrestrial radio show in 2003 to become Jay Leno’s announcer on The Tonight Show – “Is Jay taking you with him to 10 p.m.?” (Bob, whose interview was cited in the
New York Post, was of course referring to Jay’s move to an earlier time slot on NBC this fall.)
“I don’t know yet. I haven’t heard yet,” said John. “But I really do hope that I am.” The next morning, on Howard’s Sirius Satellite show, the King of All Media responded to Bob’s interview with John, saying: “I’m going to make an offer to John right now: If Jay doesn’t hire him back, he can stay in L.A. and ask questions, and we’ll hire him to go to some of those premieres and ask questions again. He can do that. It’s a dollar for every question.”
In February 2008, John said on Adam Carolla’s since-axed radio show that Howard never paid him fairly and didn’t fight to keep him when he quit. On his own show a few days later, Howard called John a “no-talent ingrate,” adding: “I didn’t have a beef with him before, but I do now. He can go #$%! himself.”

Does size matter? That is the eternal question. Whether you are talking about cars, diamonds, or …other things, everyone seems to have an opinion. But what about writing your online dating profile? Does the size of the profile you put on Match.com, Yahoo Personals, or even eHarmony really matter? Absolutely!
When writing your online dating profile, it’s important to keep what you are saying balanced. Think of your profile in terms of The Three Bears. You want to find just the right balance to make Goldilocks or, Prince Charming choose your porridge. If you write a profile that is too short, singles will look at it and think that you either have nothing interesting to say or that you were just too lazy to put in the effort. But, if you write a profile that is too long, a lot of people won’t even read it. Even worse, there’s a good chance that when you filled all that space, you probably put in some things that shouldn’t be there. Show me a profile that’s longer than 350 words and I’ll tell you how their last relationship ended. I can almost bet you that they’ve let the reason slip in, even if they don’t realize it.
So how do you know if your profile is the right length?
Ask yourself these questions:
- Does it take me more than a minute to read my profile?
- On the dating site, do I have to scroll down to read my whole profile?
- Am I giving away more information than I would on a first date?
- Does it take less than 15 seconds to read my profile?
